About Etherworld

Etherworld is a record label and book publisher located in Berkeley, California. Originally founded in Hawaii circa 1990 as Alecto Enterprises, the company was renamed Etherworld Publishing and Recordings in 1994. This was shortened to simply Etherworld in 1996.

Etherworld has released a total of 4 compact discs, 2 books (including the original Thee Psychick Bible), and 2 pamphlets (Grey Matter and bogusbagwindburster). Artists on the label include Genesis Breyer P-Orridge (Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV), Carl Abrahamsson (White Stains), Masami Akita (Merzbow), and Chris Meloche, originally released on Pete Namlook's Fax Label.
